Mini Carnivorous Plants

on August 4, 2011 - 9:32am

My foot actually looks like a foot now (if you can ignore the rainbow hues of healing), and I'm at the point where I can get around with the help of a cane. This is good news since I have less than 3 weeks until the big show, and I am in desperate need of some art supplies.

While hobbling around the house, I did manage to get some pieces finished. Six mini carnivorous plants have been sprouted. One went to friends visiting from out of the country, but the remaining five will make their debut at Rue Morgue's Festival of Fear.

I'll still have some of the eyeball plants for sale, but less than usual. So if you're coming to the show with the hope of buying one, pick it up early!

Another Eyeball Plant Sighting

on November 13, 2009 - 2:40pm

This came to me from Claire who has done a superb job on her own version of a peek-a-boo plant.

From left to right, let me introduce you to Tiny, Cedric, Hubert, and Sleepy Pete.

Thanks Claire!

I'd also like to wish everyone a Happy Friday the 13th. I haven't decided how I want to mark the occasion. Perhaps a couple of scary movies and a relaxing dinner. Even better if it's a dinner I don't have to make. And movies I don't have to go out to get.

Can you technically celebrate something by napping? It's one of those days.

John's Plants

on October 19, 2009 - 9:14am

I love when people share images of their versions of plants. I get to see their vision, techniques and personal spins. Thanks for sending these, John!

Want to try your hand at them? Check out the how to.
