Set of 3 Zombie Wreath Decorations on Etsy

on December 3, 2012 - 2:30pm

Just added to the shop! A set of 3 Zombie Wreath Ornaments!

Fa la la la la, la la la BRAINS!

Tired of cute snowmen, jolly Santa Claus, and that red nosed reindeer?

Looking for something a little more undead? A little taste of Halloween?

Well here it is. A set of 3 zombie wreath ornaments. Each zombie head is one of a kind, hand sculpted and painted, hung in a festive mini wreath, waiting to spread the disease...er...the joy of the season.

Each wreath measures approximately 3 inches high/wide, with an extra inch or so of a bendable hanging stem (size varies a little because I actually form the wreaths myself using wire-based, faux-vine decorative strand).

Go take a look in the shop, and don't forget about the Monkey Boo Coupon code.

Close up pictures below.

I DO have another set of 3 zombie ornaments made and might post them later. Same style, same wreath, but different expressions since each is one of a kind!

As well, if there's a particular figure of mine (made recently) that you're interested in, feel free to drop me a note to find out if it's still available for sale.

Monkey Boo Birthday Celebration Sale

on December 3, 2012 - 12:10pm

This week Monkey Boo turns 1 year old. Since she was a rescue from a puppy mill, her paperwork is inconsistent when it comes to what day she was born. Some point to December 1, others point to December 5 (which we think is the more likely date).

In honour of her first birthday (and with it being Christmas time), I'm having an Etsy sale based around the numbers 1 and 5.

First, all orders - despite size - will cost $15 or less for shipping across North America.

And second, for those who read my blog or Twitter or Facebook , you can save an additional 15% off the cost of the item by using the code HAPPYBIRTHDAYBOO

Using the code in addition to the lower shipping rates will save some folks $20 for certain items!

The sale runs from Monday, December 3 to Monday, December 10th. After that, the code expires and shipping prices go back to normal.

So if you know a certain someone who loves one of a kind items, or Halloween, or monsters, or art, perhaps there's a creature in my shop waiting to be put under their tree

Monkey Boo would like to mention that each purchase you make translates into presents (and dogfood and treats) for others (including her), so head on over to the shop and get that Christmas shopping done!

A Little Minion: Lucius

on October 9, 2012 - 7:11pm

If given the option between trick or treat, Lucius will always choose trick.

More mischievous than evil, this little demon encourages pranks on Halloween night.

He leaves cartons of rotten eggs for bored teenagers to find.

Pushes jack o'lanterns to the edge of steps, creating temptation for bad little boys to teeter them from their safe spot.

He'll even shake all the bottles of soda pop set out for thirsty Halloween party goers.

The figure is approximately 7 inches tall. See more images below.

I've added Lucius to my etsy shop as part of the Lucky 13 sale.

Halloween Figures in the Lucky 13 Sale

on October 9, 2012 - 12:03am

Yesterday (our Thanksgiving Monday) while Canadians everywhere were chowing down on Turkey dinners, I was painting.

I was able to get a number of figures completed (and a few close to completion). As you may know, I'm having my Lucky 13 sale on Etsy up until October 13th, at which point I will put the shop in vacation mode until after my last show of the season.

"Lucky 13" Etsy Sale Starts Today

on September 4, 2012 - 12:44pm

The big question at my last show was "do you have an etsy shop?" to which I sheepishly replied "Yes. A very, very, very neglected one".

I thought I would rectify the situation. While I do love (and prefer) selling in person and getting to meet those who adopt my critters, I know there are those of you who can't come out to Toronto every time I have a show. This sale is for you.

It's the Lucky 13 sale. Why the name? Two reasons:

First, the shop will go back into vacation mode on October 13th, 2012 and I'll be taking leftover items to sell at my next show, the Bazaar of the Bizarre. So that's the 13 part.

The lucky part is that, as part of my penance for being such a bad online shop keeper, I'm offering an olive branch to the faithful who come to the blog and follow me online.

I was sorting through my stock and found 6 of my sculpted Undead Head necklaces. I'd made dozens upon dozens of these in 2010. I do not have any intention of making anymore (some people are suited to making jewelry. I am not).

SO the first 6 people who buy an item from the shop and mention "ZOMBIE!" (during checkout, but if you forget just email me with the word and your name) will find a surprise undead gift in their package as a token of my appreciation.
