Shrimpenstein

The other day I was reminded of an old cartoon called Roger Ramjet. I then fell down the Internet rabbit-hole, looking for a copy of the theme song.
I found the theme song, but I also found out the creators - Gene Moss and Jim Thurman - created another show called Shrimpenstein.
Moss took on the role of Dr. Von Schtick, and Thurman provided voices for other characters. Shrimpenstein himself was a little Frankenstein monster ventriloquist dummy.
Shrimpenstein, being a small, local tv show from California in the mid 1960's, reminds me of another little show produced in my neck of the woods: The Hilarious House of Frightenstein. Both are low budget kitsch.
I'm almost positive I saw a few Shrimpenstein episodes when I was little, but I could be wrong. It certainly feels familiar. It would have been a few years before my time, but there's a chance it was aired as reruns in Ontario later.
Maybe this video clip will jog someone else's memory too.

Not a show I remember or know for that matter and ... it's a little before my time too! :)

I also remember when Jim and Gene were taken off the show for off-color humor(which was hysterical) and Shrimpy worked solo, voiced by the station announcer Wayne Thomas. It was terrible and I wrote the best letter my 13 year old mind could create to tell the station how bad it was. One of my greatest moments was right after I wrote the letter when Shrimpy mentioned on air what interesting letters he was getting from some of his viewers.
Wayne later redeemed himself in my eyes when he went on to be Sinister Seymour's off-screen foil. Oh, if only there were clips of that show still around.
