"Creature From The Black Lagoon – A Raging Rockin’ Show"

This July, when you purchase tickets for the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park, it will also include admission to Creature from the Black Lagoon - The Musical.

Highlights include a 25 foot Creature and an 18.5 foot Rita ship. Colour me curious.

While I enjoyed the live shows at theme parks as a child, I don't care much for them now. Most often, the shows contain Top 40 songs that are changed into something between soft rock and elevator music. You know...like listening to a children's entertainer sing Black Sabbath.

But a musical based on the Creature from the Black Lagoon? A tongue-in-cheek kitsch fest? Sign me up.

With state-of-the-art stagecraft, acrobatic choreography and hilarious, toe-tapping music, the Creature will be brought to life in a story based on the original screenplay, updated to emphasize the element of romance and just a bit of comic relief. Original new music and dazzling production numbers will keep the attraction contemporary and lively.
